Cold morning and slick roads lead to school delays

January 18, 2011 4:34:20 AM PST
A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect Tuesday morning for Person, Orange and Durham counties for the chance for some light freezing drizzle.

Due to some slick spots on roads, Orange County, Caswell County, Alamance-Burlington and Mecklenburg County, Virginia schools were all opening on a two-hour delay.

ABC11 Meteorologist Steve Stewart said any rain would be over by early in the morning, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies through the day.

Temperatures were expected to get above freezing around 9:00 or 10:00 a.m.
