One arrested, another wanted in home invasion

HALIFAX COUNTY Lester Kearney of Chapel Hill is charged with murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities say Antonio Jerold Mills, 29, was shot and killed after two men apparently entered his home early Saturday.

They say two other men were also shot in the residence.

Officials have issued warrants for Brandon Watson, who is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Kearney is being held in the county jail without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for January 24th.
