Brothers arrested for alleged violin assault

JOHNSTON COUNTY

Deputies say Alexander Neas, 21, of Clayton argued with his brother, Conner Neas, 16, Wednesday. When their father attempted to intervene, Conner allegedly hit his brother over the head with the instrument - shattering it.

Conner Neas is charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Alexander faces a lesser simple assault charge.

Alexander Neas was treated for a head laceration.
