It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Waterbury Road.

Police said when they arrived at the home, they found 26-year-old Daniel Lavon Norris shot. He later died at WakeMed.
Based on the preliminary investigation, police said the incident does not appear to have been a random act.
