Man seriously burned in fire

Flames broke out on Lemon Drive near the intersection of Angier Avenue around 2 p.m. when a house shed caught on fire.

Investigators said it was a workshop fire that was quickly controlled.

The property owner suffered injuries mostly to his lower extremities, and officials called the burns serious.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and it caused significant damage to the shed.
