The shooting happened Thursday night on the 300 block Oliver Street. Police said shots were fired at a couple from a small white two door vehicle.
The female was uninjured but authorities say 29-year-old Montrall Sloan was shot multiple times. He is in critical condition at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Police have obtained warrants for 24-year-old Phillip Armwood. He is described as 5'09" and weighs approximately 135 pounds. Officials said Armwood has an extensive criminal history and gang affiliations.
