Detectives said 51-year-old Joseph Durant, III was found dead in his home Thursday night.
Investigators arrived at Durant's house in the 2000 block of Lake Upchurch Road around 9:30 p.m., after his wife called 911. Durant's body was found lying on the living room floor.
His body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Raleigh for autopsy.
Further details about the incident have not been released.
