Officials said the suspect robbed the Food Lion at N. Reilly Rd around 10 p.m.
After walking in, a black male walked up behind the cashier and acted as if he had a weapon, but the cashier was unable to open her register.
The suspect then grabbed money from an open cash register and fled the business on foot.
Anyone with information is asked to call authorities.
