RALEIGH --
A Wake County grand jury has indicted the former coach of the varsity girl's softball team at Wakefield High School on five counts of sex offense with a student. Jamie Lloyd Ayers, 42, was also an assistant coach on the boy's football team, a PE teacher, and a health teacher.
He was first arrested in May.
Ayers is accused of starting the relationship with the student when she was under the age of 16.
