Man attempts to rob Raleigh bank, flees empty handed

RALEIGH

Police say the man walked in to the Bank of America in the 5000 block of Capital Boulevard around 1 p.m. and passed the teller a note implying he had a weapon.

However, he left before getting any cash, and was last seen fleeing on foot.

Police say the suspect is a black male who stands 5 feet 8-10 inches tall. He has a tattoo on the left side of his neck and wore a dark-colored shirt and a hat with a dark camouflage pattern.

He also was wearing shorts with a black, white, and gray camouflage pattern and black and white sneakers.
