Thousands of narcotics stolen in RX robbery

CUMBERLAND COUNTY

On Sept. 22, Sheriff's detectives said two suspects seen on surveillance video breaking into a drive-thru window at a pharmacy on Highway 24.

The video captured one of the suspects going through medications and stuffing some of them into a backpack.

Both of the suspects were dressed in black clothing.

Detectives said they were concerned about the narcotics that were stolen -- like oxymorphone, hydrocodone and Opana -- because they could be sold on streets.

They said the medications are dangerous if taken inappropriately, are extremely addictive and can be fatal to young children if ingested.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500.
