Officials said 42-year-old Kevin Wesley Freeze had lost control of his bike shortly before 2:30 a.m. Freeze was on the ramp leading from Wake Forest Road to northbound Capital Boulevard when he struck a road sign.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
