The Big K-Mart store in the 6200 block of Capital Boulevard, near Triangle Town Center, will close in mid-May.
The store began its liquidation sale on Feb. 23.
In all, 53 people work at the store. Employees that are eligible will receive severance and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Sears or Kmart stores.
The remaining K-Marts in Raleigh will be on Western Boulevard and Six Forks Road.
