Special needs students crowned prom king and queen

WENDELL, N.C.

"Two of the most positive individuals you will come in contact with, always happy, always smiling and it's just infectious. They're just radiant and the other students feed off of that," explained Corinth Holders principal Chase Ferrell.

And Friday's night's prom in Johnston County sent a message to the world.

"All people can be included everywhere. Everybody has a special place no matter what their abilities or disabilities," explained teacher Crystal Ridenhour.

Alexis and Brian's classmates picked them to be the prom king and queen.

"I was happy. I was so happy, I couldn't stop smiling," said Alexis.

"Everybody, everybody voted for me," said Brian. "I'm the king of 2014 ... Not Brian no more, I'm the King."
