RALEIGH (WTVD) -- In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, many families have lost everything and are going hungry. Power has been out for days, and some people are just looking for a meal.

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, Second Harvest Food Bank of Fayetteville and ABC 11 are helping get food to those in need.
There will be a Hurricane Relief Food Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at all three ABC11 newsrooms, at 411 Liberty St., in Durham, 319 Fayetteville St., Suite 107 in Raleigh, and 201 Hay St., Suite 101B in Fayetteville.
You can drop off donations between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Or, you can donate directly to the Food Bank online through its virtual food drive or drop off food at any of its six branch locations.

In Fayetteville, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast NC is also in need of donations, they are located at 406 Deep Creek Road. You can stay up to date with immediate needs on its Facebook page.

Here are the items most needed:
The easiest food to donate is food that needs no preparation, such as crackers, granola bars, fruit cups or any lunch box items. Cleaning supplies and baby items such as diapers, baby wipes and formula are also in great need.

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast NC is located at 406 Deep Creek Rd in Fayetteville.
With school being canceled, some children are going hungry since being at school is the only place they get a hot breakfast and lunch.
The food bank is looking for volunteers to help Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to help pack food to distribute to those in need in Cumberland, Hoke, and Robeson counties.
The food bank is also supplying food to several of the shelters. The food bank will also be hosting mobile food pantries this week, so keep checking its Facebook page for those locations.

They say they are still working out distribution plans to get items to residents.
The Red Cross and Salvation Army are partnering with Edgecombe County to help with the donation center.
The Walt Disney Company, the parent company of ABC11, has dedicated $1 million to help communities affected by Hurricane Matthew across Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas as well as those affected in the Bahamas and Caribbean.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all the children and families whose lives were impacted by this tragic storm," said Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer, The Walt Disney Company. "We hope that Disney's support will aid ongoing relief efforts as people begin to recover and rebuild."
Disney's donations will go to the American Red Cross and Save the Children, two of the world's largest humanitarian response organizations, as well as local charitable disaster relief organizations.
