Enjoy the sounds of outside across central North Carolina during snowfall!
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Many across central North Carolina got a measurable snowfall, a first since 2022.
RDU officially got less than an inch of snow, along with 0.07" of ice. Areas closer to the Virginia border saw the highest amount of snow around 3 to 4 inches.

Multiple crashes after wintry mix across central NC
There were multiple crashes Saturday morning after snow, freezing rain and sleet moved through central NC. This includes:
A truck overturned on I-87 South near Wendell, blocking two lanes.
A pickup truck went off the on-ramp from I-540 westbound to NC 54. It rammed into the control box of the traffic signal at the intersection.
There was a reported two-vehicle crash on I-40 at South Saunders Street.
NCDOT urges people to stay off the roads if possible.

NCDOT gives update on winter storm aftermath, cleanup
Road conditions throughout ABC11's viewing area have been impacted by freezing rain and snow.

SUV slams into pole, taking out power lines in Raleigh
Precipitation has ended for most areas Saturday morning, but roads may still be slick across central North Carolina.
An SUV slammed into a utility pole Saturday morning and took out some power lines in Raleigh.
It happened at White Oak Road and Webb Street. This is behind the Carolina Country Club.
ABC11 is told the car is severely damaged, but the driver is expected to be okay.
The road was blocked overnight, and crews are working to repair the damaged pole.
Precipitation has ended for most areas Saturday morning, but roads may still be slick across central North Carolina.
