According to authorities, EMS responded to a call involving a male located outside 5905 Damon Court around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The individual, 21-year-old Phillip Michael Hart, was transported to WakeMed where he later died.
Thursday the N.C. Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner determined foul play was involved in Hart's death.
Neighbors tell Eyewitness News they heard emergency vehicles arrive Wednesday shortly before Hart was transported to the hospital.
Neighbors also say a couple with small children lives in the home. The owners of the property arrived Thursday, but say they do not know Hart.
Raleigh police say they arrested 20-year-old Joel Barnes early Friday morning. Police say Barnes is now charged with murder, but they're continuing the investigation. Barnes is in the Wake County Jail with no bond. He has his first court appearance set for this afternoon.
