Robbery suspects sought by police

Two masked suspects commited an armed robbery around 11:30 p.m. Monday at the Stop 1 Market on West Peace Street.

The two suspects may also be responsible for similar crimes at Rite Aid pharmacy on Woodburn Road Saturday around 9:45 p.m., at Raleigh Beverage on Glenwood Ave on Sunday around 9:40 p.m., and at Lighthouse Food Mart on Bernard Street around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

During each of the crimes, the suspects were masked with bandanas or other facial coverings that have been black, red, orange or yellow in color. Their clothing has varied and has included blue and black hoodies, jackets and shirts, along with blue and black baseball caps. During the robberies, at least one suspect has been armed with a handgun.

Both suspects are black males who are thought to be between 18 and 22 years of age. They are of medium height, about 5 feet 7 to 8 inches and are thought to weigh 150 to 180 pounds.
