One shot during Durham carjacking

Durham Police are investigating a carjacking on Juniper Street early Friday morning. Police spokesperson Kammie Michael tells Eyewitness News two men in a 2002 black GMC Denali stopped to talk to three women when a man riding a bicycle approached the two men and pulled a gun. One of the men tried to smack the gun away and was shot in the arm.

The suspect got away in the SUV. The three women ran off.

The victim who was shot was taken to Duke Hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
