Pizza campaign helps with unsolved case

"Help us Help You" was developed by a Cumberland County detective to enlist the help of the community where 25-year-old Matthew Scott was killed.

On March 31, shortly after midnight, Scott was shot outside a home on Ajax Dr. A female resident told investigators she heard a struggle and then a loud popping noise. Scott died a few hours later at the hospital.

Since the murder, detectives say there is no new evidence to help solve the case. That's why they are reaching out to the community where he lived.

Beginning today, employees of the Domino's Pizza on Highway 87 will distribute the flyers on behalf of the sheriff's office at no charge. In addition, more than 200 posters will be attached to pizza boxes that are delivered in the Gray's Creek area.

Anyone who has information about the case should call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500.
