The people who run the gas station say they've complained about the potholes and they were told it would be taken care of. Month after month, the holes just got bigger.
"It started off with like a little hole in our parking lot and then it progressed into like a big sink hole," said Stem Mini Mart employee Shannon Lapell.
Shannon said they have been getting complaints from customers for months.
"They keep on complaining that there's not parking. They're stepping in the holes. They're going to destroy their cars," Shannon said.
Pam Andrews has been a loyal customer at the mini mart for 18 years, but she said she no longer feels it is safe to park at the store.
"For quite some time now I've either been parking next door at the post office or Betsy's consignment shop," Pam said.
Betsy Breedlove owns Betsy's Consignment Shop and she isn't happy that the mini mart's customers are taking up parking spots in front of her store.
"When their customers are parked at my store, my customers don't have anywhere to park so they're going on down the road. So it's hurting me," Betsy said.
Betsy, along with the Stem Mini Mart management all said they've made several calls to Rose Oil Company, the owners of the property. After months of hearing, "we're working on it," and no fix, they got in touch with me.
A rep with Rose Oil told me it's on the schedule to be fixed and will get done.
It took a few weeks, but the potholes were fixed and now everyone is happy. The rep with Rose Oil Company didn't give a reason why it took so long for the potholes to get fixed, only stating that it was on their crew's schedule.
