Johnston County woman charged with misusing 911

A Four Oaks woman was arrested early Tuesday for allegedly misusing the 911 system.

Deputies say 21-year-old Brittany Kay Steigelman was arrested after the third time she dialed 911 and the second time a they were dispatched to her address.

Steigelman allegedly called 911 the first time claiming there was a disturbance at her home then said there was not. She allegedly called a second time claiming her boyfriend would not listen to her. On the third call, she alleged said that her boyfriend was secretly recording her conversations.

Steigelman was taken to the Johnston County Jail under a $2,500 bond. Officials noted she was "highly impaired" at the time of her arrest.
