22-year-old shot at party

DUNN The Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder of Akeem Juan Jones, age 22 of Dunn. The investigation has revealed that there was a large party at the residence of 139 Bear Lane. There was an altercation between Mr. Jones and other subjects when Mr. Jones was shot.

Mr. Jones was transported to Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn by family members. He was pronounced deceased on arrival at the hospital. At this time there is no suspect information or motive for the shooting.
