Correll, who was an art teacher and soccer coach at Pine Forest High School, is charged with sexual activity with a student. He was released from the Cumberland County Detention Center under a two thousand dollar secured bond. Correll is to make a first court appearance tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the Cumberland County Detention Center courtroom.
Former Teacher Charged With Sex Crimes
Cumberland County 26-year-old Michael Thomas Correll II of 513 Torhunta Drive, Hope Mills North Carolina was taken into custody Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Investigators say Correll engaged in inappropriate behavior with a female student between January 31, 2009 and February 1, 2009.
