Conklin told police a man hid in the back of the store on June 5 and after closing, held Conklin at knife point and demanded money.
After an investigation, police determined the robbery was staged and Conklin took the money. To make the story more believable, investigators say the manager even cut himself.
He is charged with filing a false police report and larceny by an employee. Police did not say how much money Conklin took.
