Teen shot in Food Lion parking lot

Fayetteville police said a teen is expected to be okay after being shot in the arm Sunday evening.

Police said shots were fired around 5 p.m. near the Food Lion Shopping Center in the 4100 block of Raeford Road.

A 17 year old showed up at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center a short time later with a gunshot to his arm.

The teen said a car drove up behind him on Ireland Drive and began firing shots.

The teen said he and his friend turned into the Food Lion Parking lot and then realized he had been hit.
