One person dead, eight injured after Bragg accident

One person was killed and eight were injured in a two-car crash early Sunday morning.

The accident happened at 3:45 a.m. on MacArthur Road.

The first vehicle had five people inside: four were thrown out of the car and one person was trapped inside and had to be extracted by EMS.

The second vehicle had three passengers, and all were able to walk away from the accident.

A Fort Bragg spokesperson said one person died en route to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where the other eight were taken.

The accident remains under investigation and officials have not stated the victims' conditions.
